Hon. Ojo, who hails from Ago-Are in Atisbo Local Government Area, announced his resignation in a letter dated November 2, 2026, addressed to the Governor through the Secretary to the State Government.
Referencing his appointment letter dated 22nd June, 2026 (SP.S.662/2/VOL.IV/192), Ojo said his resignation takes immediate effect.
He wrote: “I respectfully write to formally resign my appointment as Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, with effect from today, 2nd November, 2026. Serving the Government and the good people of Oyo State has been a great honour that I do not take lightly.”Oyo State News
Similarly, Falana from Ogbomoso tendered his resignation as a member of OYSIEC in a separate letter dated November 2, 2026, addressed to the Governor through the Chief of Staff.
Falana, who also said his resignation takes immediate effect, appreciated the Governor for the opportunity to serve on the state’s electoral body.
The Special Adviser on Budget, Hon. Oyeleke also dropped his resignation letter on Monday, further swelling the list of exits from the administration.
None of the three officials gave reasons for their decisions, leaving room for speculations that their resignations may not be unconnected with the ongoing political permutations and alignments ahead of the 2027 elections in Oyo State.
