The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has alleged that three presidential aspirants are preparing to engage in electoral malpractice ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election.
According to a video shared on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, the cleric made the claim while discussing the political activities and possible strategies of some presidential contenders.
Ayodele specifically mentioned former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, alleging that both politicians would attempt to manipulate the electoral process in their respective political strongholds.
According to the cleric, Atiku would allegedly seek to rig votes in the northern part of the country, while Obi would also engage in similar activities in the South-East.
Ayodele further claimed that another presidential aspirant was among those allegedly preparing to engage in electoral malpractice, although he did not disclose the identity of the third individual.
Speaking in the video, the cleric said, “However in the north, Atiku is going to rig, in the southeast Obi is also going to rig, three Presidential aspirants are in line of rigging, so nobody is not going to do rigging, rigging three of them are set for rigging.”
The cleric’s remarks have drawn attention to the potential conduct of political actors as preparations for the forthcoming presidential election continue.
Atiku and Obi were among the major contenders in the 2023 presidential election, which was won by President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
