A Nigerian woman has described a terrifying incident during a nighttime trip between Abuja and Enugu. She claims that she and a commercial driver unintentionally drove with an enigmatic seventh passenger, who is thought to be a ghost.
She clarified in a widely shared video that she got on the bus after learning that she had been called to the Nigerian Bar and had to get to Enugu early the next day.
She claims there was just one driver and six passengers, but their trip became uncomfortable when authorities insisted there were seven people in the car at several checkpoints.

“The first police officer stopped us and asked why we were seven passengers instead of six. We counted ourselves and realised we were only six, but the driver still had to pay before we continued.”
The woman said that everyone was scared and perplexed when the identical question was asked at two more checkpoints.
She also claimed that as she tried to figure out what was going on, she glanced into the driver’s rearview mirror and momentarily noticed a white-clad man sitting at the back of the car.
“When we got to Enugu around 5 a.m., the driver asked if anyone saw what he saw. I told him I saw a man wearing white in the mirror. He said he saw the same thing and realised that was the person the police officers had been counting,” she added:
