Wike Is Not The Leader Of My Party; He Is A Leader Of The APC—Agbedi Rejects Wike Leadership

Fred Agbedi, the Minority Leader of the Nigerian House of Representatives, has said Nyesom Wike is not the leader of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, despite Wike’s membership of the PDP and his prominent political position nationally.

According to a video posted on the official YouTube channel of Mic On Podcast on Saturday, August 22, 2026, Agbedi made the remark while discussing opposition politics, party leadership, and the prospects of defeating the ruling APC nationally.

During the interview, he stated, “he is not the leader of my party; he’s a leader of the APC party,” referring to Wike and rejecting the suggestion that the former Rivers State governor leads the PDP or its members.
