‘We Defeated Trump in War and Politics’ – Iran Boasts After US Midterm Election Setback
Iran takes credit for Trump’s midterm defeat, saying Tehran handed him “a strategic defeat on the battlefield and in the Strait of Hormuz, and a political defeat in Washington.”
“Americans got stuck with the bill for his war. Anyone who takes on Iran will pay the price, from the battlefield to their own doorstep,” SNSC chief Rezaei says.
Iran says Trump was “defeated in both war and politics” and that it “will certainly inflict further defeats on him.” An adviser to the Supreme Leader, added Iran was the real winner and had “transferred the cost of the war into the United States.”
It comes as the US military has prepared plans to resume major combat operations as early as today.
