Troops arrest Borno Vigilante Smuggling AK-47, Supplies To Boko Haram For Triple Profit

Nigerian Army troops, working with the Civilian Joint Task Force, have arrested a long-serving vigilante member in Borno State accused of supplying arms and logistics to Boko Haram. The suspect, identified as Abba, was caught on April 24, 2026 with an AK-47 rifle and other non-food items he was allegedly moving from Pulka to Firgi in Gwoza LGA for delivery to insurgents.

According to YERWA EXPRESS NEWS, Security sources say the arrest exposes “growing insider collaboration,” with some trusted allies in the counter-insurgency fight now accused of aiding terrorists for money. Collaborators are reportedly exploiting supply shortages in terror camps by reselling basic goods at inflated rates — “a pack of spaghetti that costs about N1,000 in the market is sold for as much as N3,000 in the terrorists’ camp.” Watch the video in the comment section.
