APC PCC INAUGURATION: WE WILL WIN – ARODIOGBU REACTS TO PROGRESSIVE GOVERNORS CHAIRMAN

The inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) has received a strong boost following emphatic remarks by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, who declared that the ruling party has no reason not to win the 2027 presidential election.
Reacting swiftly to the governor’s statement, the National Vice Chairman South East of the All Progressive Congress, Arodiogbu described the development as a clear signal that the APC is firmly on the path to victory, insisting that the combination of performance, expanding alliances, and elite consensus has already tilted the political balance decisively in favour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Governor Hope Uzodinma, who also chairs the Progressive Governors Forum, told the gathering of party leaders, governors, and stakeholders that the APC enters the next electoral cycle from a position of strength.
“Looking at the work that has been done, the reforms that have been courageously implemented, and the growing alignment of leaders across the country, this party has no reason not to win,” Uzodinma stated. “President Tinubu has taken the difficult decisions that previous administrations avoided. The results are beginning to show in improved revenue, infrastructure delivery, and renewed confidence in the economy. When governors and leaders from different platforms begin to identify with this direction, it means the people are seeing the difference.”
The governor’s remarks came as the APC formally unveiled its Presidential Campaign Council, a body that includes notable figures from outside the party such as Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo of APGA and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party. The inclusive composition has been widely interpreted as evidence of the ruling party’s expanding political reach and the diminishing relevance of rigid party boundaries in the face of national challenges.
Reacting to Uzodinma’s confident declaration, Chief Arodiogbu said the Progressive Governors Chairman had simply stated the obvious.
“His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma has spoken the minds of millions of Nigerians who can see the direction of travel,” Arodiogbu said.
“When the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum stands before the nation and says the APC has no reason not to win, he is not engaging in empty propaganda. He is reflecting the reality on the ground. The reforms are working. The governors are aligning. Key political leaders are choosing continuity over confusion. We will win.”
Arodiogbu noted that the presence of governors from APGA and Accord on the PCC further strengthens the argument that a broad national coalition is forming around President Tinubu’s leadership.
“This is no longer a narrow party affair. When respected governors from other platforms join the effort, it tells you that the focus has shifted from partisan contestation to national progress. The shackles of poverty cannot be broken by endless division. They are broken by focused leadership and collective commitment. That is what we are witnessing.”
He praised Uzodinma for providing clear and unambiguous leadership at a critical moment.
“The Progressive Governors Forum has a responsibility to speak truth to the political class and to the Nigerian people. Governor Hope has discharged that responsibility with courage. His message is simple: the APC has delivered enough reasons to be trusted with another mandate. We will win because the alternative is to reverse the hard-won gains of the past three years.”
Party stakeholders at the inauguration described the atmosphere as one of quiet confidence rather than complacency. Several speakers emphasised that while the growing consensus among governors and political leaders is significant, the real work of grassroots mobilisation and continuous delivery of results remains the ultimate guarantee of electoral success.
Arodiogbu, however, insisted that the psychological and political momentum has already shifted. “Elections are not won only on election day. They are won when the political class, the governors, and the informed public begin to converge around a clear direction. That convergence is happening now. Governor Hope Uzodinma has put it plainly: the APC has no reason not to win. I agree completely. We will win.”
