Tinubu Announces Fresh Appointment; Names Adelabu as Rector

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Isiaka Tunji Adelabu as the substantive Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Oyo State.

The appointment was announced by the institution’s Acting Director of the Centre for Information, Communication and Public Relations (CICPR), Sunday Adepoju, who quoted a statement issued by the Registrar, Akinlolu Akinpade.Africans & Diaspora

According to the Registrar, the appointment was approved by President Tinubu and took effect from August 5, 2026.

Before his appointment, Adelabu served as a Chartered Accountant and Chief Lecturer in the Department of Accountancy at the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State.

He also held several administrative positions at the institution, including Head of Department, Dean of School and Deputy Rector (Administration).

The polytechnic said Adelabu’s extensive academic and administrative experience, as well as his contributions to the institution, would be valuable to the continued development of the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede.

With his appointment, Adelabu becomes the second substantive rector of the institution.
