Three Ilorin Residents Escape Bandits’ Den After Months in Captivity
Three residents of Abudu Community in Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State have escaped from a bandits’ den after spending months in captivity.

The escapees were among nine abducted persons who were kidnapped from different communities and at different times before being held together by the bandits.
The nine escapees include one Nupe, three Yoruba and two Fulani victims. The identities of the remaining escapees are still being verified.
Sources said the victims escaped from the forest and eventually made their way to Lata Nna in Patigi Local Government Area, where they were received by military personnel.
It is, however, unclear whether the three Abudu residents are among the victims abducted during the July 29 attack on the community.
During the incident, armed bandits invaded Abudu Community and abducted a pregnant woman and two other residents, while carting away about ₦4 million.
Further details are expected as efforts continue to confirm the identities of the escapees and establish whether they were victims of the July attack.
