“Unfortunately, he didn’t go out with his phone, making tracking impossible. Please, in case you see someone that looks like him, kindly contact the numbers in this poster as we continue our prayers for a safe return,” he posted.

The late Tunji Oyeleru passed away in September 2005 in a car accident while covering a rally in Maiduguri, Borno State, leaving behind a legacy of selfless service to journalism.

He was recognised for his professional documentation of social, political, and human rights issues.

The late photojournalist died alongside activist Chima Ubani in the tragic auto accident along the Kano-Yola road.
