Senator Resigns from PDP, Citing Irreconcilable Differences
In a significant political development, Senator Francis Ade Fadahunsi, OFR, has formally announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The resignation, addressed to the Ward Chairman of PDP Ward 4, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, takes immediate effect.
Senator Fadahunsi cited “irreparable and irreconcilable differences” as well as “protracted legal battles” at the national level of the party following the 2023 general elections as the major reasons behind his decision to exit the party.
According to the letter, the decision was not taken lightly, as it came after thorough consultations with his political associates, family, and close allies.
He concluded the letter by urging the party leadership to accept his resignation in good faith, while expressing appreciation for the years of shared political experience within the PDP.
Senator Fadahunsi, a respected voice in Osun State and Nigerian politics at large, has been a notable figure within the PDP. His departure from the party marks yet another chapter in the ongoing realignment of political forces in the country ahead of the next electoral cycle.
