Police Summon 151 Senior Officers Over Misconduct Allegations
The Nigeria Police Force has summoned 151 senior officers from different parts of the country to appear before a disciplinary committee to face various misconduct allegations.
The officers are expected to defend themselves during sessions that began on Monday, July 14, and will continue until Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The Force Disciplinary Committee, which is in charge of handling internal misconduct cases, is reviewing complaints involving officers from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police and above.
These cases range from breaches of professional conduct to other forms of unethical behaviour.
According to the police authorities, the ongoing process follows established rules and procedures, and the committee’s findings will be forwarded to the Police Service Commission for further action.
The goal is to ensure discipline within the force and maintain public trust.
