NSCDC Officer Allegedly Steals AK-47, Sells It for ₦700,000; Two G3 Rifles Also Allegedly Diverted

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has uncovered cases of alleged illegal arms diversion involving serving personnel, recovering an AK-47 allegedly stolen by CAII Igah Ameh James, a serving officer attached to the CG’s Crack Squad, and two unserviceable G3 rifles allegedly removed from the Adamawa State Command armoury by former Head of Armoury ASCI Peter Ardo and allegedly sold to CCA Boniface B. Lawyer.

The operations also led to the rescue of 15 trafficked children and the dismantling of an inter-state telecommunications vandalism network across several states.
