Nigerian Air Force Helicopter Makes £mergency Landing in Makurdi; All on Board Safe

MAKURDI, Benue State: A Nigerian Air Force helicopter made an emergency landing on farmland in Utur Tse-Igboji, Bar Council Ward, Makurdi, on Wednesday, 7th October 2026, after developing a technical fault.

The community lies along the Welfare Quarters to Mopol 13 Ring Road. Residents said everyone on board escaped unhurt.

Villagers rushed to the scene to assist the officers, who emerged alive. Locals described the outcome as a narrow escape, saying a crash in the area could have deepened the tragedy.
