Man Arrested for Scamming 34 Job Seekers, Collecting ₦106 Million in Anambra
Kenneth John has been arrested in Anambra State for allegedly defrauding 34 job seekers of a combined ₦106 million.
John allegedly promised the victims lucrative employment opportunities in agencies including the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He reportedly collected money from the job seekers in exchange for the promised positions, with some victims allegedly paying millions of naira. Authorities are expected to investigate the allegations and determine the full extent of the scheme.
