MAKE IMPACT AND LIVE IN THE HEART OF YOUR GENERATION FOREVER – Banji Alabi Esq
My dear brothers and sisters,

I did not come here today to preach law. I did not come to preach religion.
I came to show us a ROADMAP. A roadmap that has never failed in 2,000 years.
Acts 10:38 gives us the entire biography of Jesus Christ in one sentence:
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who WENT ABOUT DOING GOOD…”
That is it. That is His CV. He went about DOING GOOD.
He did not go about doing noise. He did not go about chasing trends. He did not go about doing clout. He went about doing GOOD.
And what was that good?
The eyes of the blind were opened. The lame rose and walked. The dead heard His voice and came back to life. He preached good news to the poor, healing to the broken-hearted, and liberty to the captives.
He RAISED MEN. He took fishermen and made them apostles. He took a despised tax collector and made him an evangelist. He took ordinary men and turned them into men who turned the world upside down on great impact
Scripture says when Jesus entered the city, there was joy everywhere. People felt His impact before they saw His face.
That is the standard. That is our calling.
Friends, listen to me. God has blessed you. Some with position, some with intellect, some with resources, some with a powerful voice.
The question heaven is asking is not, “Are you blessed?” The question is: “WHO IS BLESSED BECAUSE YOU ARE BLESSED?”
If your blessing ends with you, you have failed the Jesus model.
The Jesus model for lasting impact is simple, but it is profound:
1. BE COMPASSIONATE — LET COMPASSION MOVE YOUR FEET.
Do not just feel pity. Take action. The world is full of people who can type “sorry” online. Heaven is looking for men and women who will stand up, step out, and show up.
Love is not a hashtag. Love is labour.
2. INVEST IN PEOPLE.
That is what Jesus did. He invested in people.
Listen, that bulletproof G-Wagon will rust. That Lexus LX 600 will fade. That waterfront mansion in Eko Atlantic, Banana Island, and Beverly Hills will become obsolete.
Money will fail. Buildings will collapse.
But a life you raise will raise a generation.
Pay the WAEC fee for 10, for 20 students this morning . You may think it is small, but one WAEC fee can change a family tree forever. One school fee can break a 400-year-old curse of poverty.
Let someone get a job because you mentioned their name. Let someone get a scholarship because you wrote a letter. Visit the sick in the hospital. Visit those in prison — many are there unjustly, voiceless, forgotten. That is where Jesus would be today if He were physically in Lagos.
3. FIGHT INJUSTICE. DON’T JUST LAMENT IT.
Do not just complain about Nigeria on social media. Help to right the wrongs in your corner.
Stand for due process. Speak for those who cannot speak. Defend the rule of law.
And let me leave this anchor with you — a principle that has become my life’s compass:
“Do not destroy the edifice in anger, because tomorrow you will need shelter under it.”
If we burn down Nigeria — burn the courts, burn the schools, burn the institutions — because we are angry today, where will our children find shelter tomorrow?
Jesus did not destroy the temple. He cleansed it to make it better. That is reform, not ruin.
4. TEACH PEOPLE HOW TO FISH — AND HOW TO OWN THE OCEAN.
Do not just give a man fish. Teach him how to fish, how to package it, how to brand it, and how to sell it to the world.
Empower our young people to acquire skills that solve problems. An empowered youth will never need to beg. Will never need to steal. Will never allow himself to be used by desperate politicians as a tool for destruction. Will never be forced to japa _ in frustration.
Go to the orphanage. Go to the homeless. The helpless are not waiting for your pity. They are waiting for your PRESENCE.
My dear shipmates, my generation — hear me and hear me well:
A man who only makes MONEY will be forgotten. A man who only makes NOISE will be ignored. But a man who makes IMPACT will live in the heart of his generation forever.
You do not need to trend on every social media page to be impactful. You need to trend in the hearts of men.
When Jesus left this earth, He had no house. He had no chariot. He had no Instagram account. Yet, 2,000 years later, we gather, we worship, we write, and we celebrate at the mention of His name.
Why? Because He did good.
So I challenge you today, in this milestone, in this season of your life:
GO AND DO GOOD.
Let one child go to school because of you.
Let one sick man get treatment because you stood up.
Let one jobless youth learn a skill because you taught him.
Let one injustice be corrected because you had the courage to speak.
Make impact. And you will never die.
God bless you.
Banji Alabi, Esq.
