Late Nurse Habila’s Father Petitions IGP, Seeks Release of Her Body

The parents of the late Mary Habila have petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, demanding the immediate release of their daughter’s body for burial and rejecting any plan to conduct an autopsy.

In the petition, the family said they do not consent to a post-mortem examination, insisting that their religious and cultural beliefs should be respected. They urged the police to release the body without further delay to enable them to give their daughter a dignified burial.
