JUST IN: ‘Bullets Hidden in Maize’ — Army Nabs Terror Courier with 500 Rounds of NATO Ammo on Kogi Highway

Soldiers of 12 Brigade intercepted suspected terrorist courier Yahaya Umar along the Obajana–Lokoja road on May 6, seizing 500 rounds of 7.62mm NATO belted ammunition concealed in a bag of maize. Intelligence revealed he’s a key logistics runner for terrorists across North Central Nigeria.

Preliminary probe shows the ammo was collected at Obajana Forest and headed for Dikko Junction, Suleja, Niger State.

Umar is in custody for interrogation as troops move to dismantle the wider arms syndicate, the Army said.
