JOIN PRESIDENT TINUBU AS HE LEADS NIGERIA TO GREATNESS – PRINCESS GLORIA AKOBUNDU ADVISES OBI, ATIKU

Hon. Princess Gloria Akobundu Phd, APC PCC Secretary Faith Based Mobilisation (Christians) and key member of APC PCC Women Wing has called on former presidential candidates HE Mr. Peter Obi and HE Atiku Abubakar to  join President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the collective task of consolidating Nigeria’s progress toward greatness.

Speaking against the backdrop of the All Progressives Congress (APC) inauguration of its Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), which notably includes high-profile figures from other parties such as Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party and HE Barr. Nyesom Wike of PDP,  Akobundu declared that the 2027 presidential election has, in practical terms, already been decided by the broad coalition of governors and political leaders now rallying behind the incumbent.

_“The signs are clear for all who have eyes to see,” Akobundu stated. “President Tinubu is leading Nigeria to greatness with measurable results in economic stabilisation, infrastructure renewal, and institutional reforms. It is time for those who are contesting against him to recognise the national interest above personal ambition. I advise Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to join hands with the President, not endless opposition for its own sake.”_

The inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council is  a demonstration of the ruling party’s expanding political reach. The inclusion of Governor Soludo, a respected economist and APGA leader, and Governor Adeleke, whose Accord Party platform has maintained an independent posture, signals a deliberate strategy of cross-party collaboration. Party officials described the development as evidence that key stakeholders across the federation are prioritising continuity and stability over fragmentation.

Akobundu emphasised that the growing consensus among state governors and senior political leaders has effectively shifted the dynamics of the coming election.

_“When governors from different platforms and regions begin to align behind one candidate, the contest is no longer a free-for-all. It becomes a referendum on performance and the future. The Nigerian people are watching the results of the last three years, fuel subsidy reforms that have begun to free resources for development, improved foreign reserves, renewed investor confidence, and major projects in roads, rail, and power. These are not slogans; they are the foundations of greatness.”_

She further stated that continued opposition from Obi and Atiku at this stage risks deepening political polarisation rather than offering constructive alternatives.

_ “There is a time for competition and a time for nation-building. President Tinubu has shown capacity to navigate complex challenges. Those who once sought the same office should now ask themselves whether their energy is better spent strengthening the centre or perpetuating division. History will judge those who choose unity when the opportunity presents itself.”_

The presence of Soludo and Adeleke in the PCC architecture is particularly symbolic. Soludo’s economic credentials lend technical weight to the campaign’s messaging on fiscal and monetary policy, while Adeleke’s participation underscores the APC’s outreach into the South-West and beyond traditional party lines.

Together with the alignment of several other governors, the development has shown that a broad elite consensus is crystallising around Tinubu’s re-election.

_“No serious nation abandons a pilot mid-flight when the aircraft is stabilising,” she said. “The call is not for blind loyalty. It is for clear-eyed assessment. President Tinubu is leading. The governors are aligning. Political leaders of note are choosing the side of progress. The election, in substance, is already over. What remains is for every Nigerian of goodwill including other aspirants to join the effort so that the greatness we seek is not delayed by unnecessary contention.”_

Primcess Akobundu struck a note of patriotic urgency. “Nigeria is bigger than any individual. The opportunity to contribute to lasting progress does not come often. President Tinubu is steering the ship. The wise will come aboard.”
