I’m not going back to nigeria” – Nigerian mum in Iceland says while enjoying ice lolly

A Nigerian woman living in Iceland has set the social media buzzing after jokingly declaring that she has no plans to return to Nigeria while enjoying an ice lolly.
In a video circulating on social media, the woman is seen walking along a quiet residential street with a colourful ice lolly in her hand.

As she takes bites from the snack, she speaks to the camera and explains why she is enjoying her life in Iceland.

“I am not going back to Nigeria. With this kind of enjoyment in this country, someone still expects me to return to Nigeria?” she says.

The light-hearted comment has generated different reactions from social media users.

While some found it amusing that an ordinary ice lolly had become the reason for her declaration, others said the video reflected the broader experiences of Nigerians who settle abroad and become comfortable with life there.

The woman appears relaxed throughout the clip as she continues walking and enjoying her treat.

The video has since continued to attract attention, with viewers sharing their own thoughts about living abroad and returning home.
