How Tinubu And His Entourage Act Shamelessly Whenever He Traveled–Ife Salako
On air personality and ardent supporter of Peter Obi, Ife Salako has chided president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and members of his government for indulging in act he describes as “show of shame”.
Ife Salako who has emerged one of the prominent voices of the Obidient movement on social media, through his X handle, decried the long-standing practice by public officials who under the guise of official deference, resort to sycophancy.
According to Ife Salako, it is shameful that public officials in president Tinubu’s entourage and with whom he traveled by same plane, would disembark from the plane before the president and would stand side by side to receive the president they traveled with by same aircraft. He said this shameful practice has become a norm for the Tinubu’s presidency both in foreign soil and in Nigeria.
Ife Salako stated that this long-standing practice is shameful and unnecessary; hence, he called on the Nigeria’s president to put a stop to such specious show of official deference and redundant protocol. According to him, this practice has become integral to the president’s protocol while the members of his administration now see as official deference.

He wrote: “This thing that Tinubu and his entourage do is quite shameful walahi.
“Traveling with people that will walk past you inside same plane, disembark from the same plane and line up to welcome their fellow passenger to the same place they all traveled to. I’m ashamed on you people’s behalf. Please stop it”
Ife Salako is understood to be referring to the president’s recent trips from Nigeria to Japan where he participated in the Tokyo International Conference On African Development (TICAD) alongside with other African leaders.
President Tinubu after the TICAD also made an official trip from Japan to Brazil where he reached different bilateral business deals with the Brazilian authority as the two countries aim to establish friendly relationship to boost the economy of their countries.
