FCT Police Arrest 3 Suspected Kidnappers After Viral AK-47 Video Exposes Hideout
13 suspected kidnappers who appeared in a viral video showing off AK-47 rifles, ammunition, and walkie-talkies while dressed in military camouflage reportedly arrested by the FCT Police Command.
Police said they launched an investigation after the video surfaced online and used digital forensic analysis and intelligence gathering to trace the suspects to their hideout in Runji Village, Zuba, Abuja.
The suspects, identified as Umar Babangida (25), Adamu Yeti (22), and Yahaya Idris (24), were arrested during an early-morning raid.
Investigators reportedly found more photos and videos on their phones showing them posing with weapons, military-style clothing, and communication gadgets.
According to police, the rifles were allegedly supplied by a gang leader known as “Esco,” who remains at large. Efforts are ongoing to arrest other members of the gang and recover the weapons.
