Bashir El-rufai, son of former governor Nasir El-rufai has declared that everyone involved in his father’s continued detention, will certainly be paidback.

Bashir El-rufai made the remark through his X handle, stating that those who are currently in government and using their position to unleash injustice on others should know that their current position is temporary.

He declared that everyone one involved in his father’s detention and disobeying court orders for his father’s release, should anticipate avengence.

It’s their time ai. Let them enjoy their tenures, it will always come to an end, then we may excitedly avenge every single injustice & flouting of court orders these guys have normalized. Every single soul responsible. They know themselves”, he wrote on his X handle.

Bashir’s father, Nasir El-rufai, former governor of Kaduna State has been held in the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for more than 90 days and facing multiple litigations and varying charges before different courts.

Nasir El-rufai is standing trial before Kaduna High court over alleged misappropriation of funds during his governorship administration in Kaduna from 2015-2023.

Also, he is standing trial at Abuja High Court for allegedly tapping the phone of the National Security Adviser (NSA) to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nuhu Ribadu.

His supporters and some public affair commentators suggest that Nasir El-rufai’s continued detention by the ICPC, has some political undertone especially as he is one of the forefront opposition leaders.
