Emmy winner Susan Saint James dies at 80 after cancer battle

Susan Saint James, the US actress known for her role in TV series ‘McMillan & Wife’ has passed away at age 80.

James’ representative confirmed to People that the actress died on Monday following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

In a statement, her family remembered her as “generous with her time and energy, which she valued more than money,” and as someone who “instinctively sought to uplift others”.

According to the family, she made everyone she met feel important and continued to comfort them even after losing her youngest son in a plane crash in 2004.
