Drama as vigilante catches phone thief with 17 stolen phones during Governor Diri’s defection to APC In Bayelsa

Operatives of the Bayelsa State Vigilante Service on Monday arrested a suspected phone thief identified as Francis at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa, during Governor Douye Diri’s defection ceremony to the APC.

The suspect, who confessed to coming from Rivers State to exploit the large crowd, was found with 17 mobile phones, ₦91,000 cash, and several ATM cards. He also admitted to working with an accomplice who escaped with more stolen items.

Chairman of the Vigilante Service, Hon. Doubiye Alagba, led the operation and handed the suspect to the police, warning criminals to stay away from Bayelsa.
