Delta Woman Stole Two Babies for Church Dedication After Losing Her Twins

A woman identified as Joy was arrested by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly stealing two infants to present at a church dedication, after the death of her own newborn twins.

According to police, Joy deceived two young mothers, one 14 years old, the other 18, and took their babies under false pretenses. She intended to pass them off as her own during a church ceremony meant for her late twins.

The thefts were uncovered after an investigation, and Joy has since confessed to taking the children. Both babies have been recovered and reunited with their mothers.

The Delta State Police Command confirmed the arrest and said the case is under investigation, with charges expected to follow.
