DCP Reveals How A Woman’s Driver Tried To Kidnap Her In Abuja After She Gave A Testimony In Church
The Intelligence Response Team of the Inspector General of Police has arrested a four-man gang of suspected kidnappers who attempted to abduct a prophetess as she made her way home from an evening church fellowship.

Parading the suspects in Abuja, Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the IRT, DCP Adamu Muazu, revealed that the gang’s leader, David Obaje, had worked as the prophetess’s personal driver for three months before hatching a plan to kidnap her after a testimony she gave in church about how God had blessed her financially.
Speaking on Channels TV, he said, “The lady testified in church to show how she became successful in owning a filling station. And due to that presentation of testimony in the church, her driver developed an evil plan after that testimony,” he said.
The deputy commissioner said Obaje carefully orchestrated the abduction to take place on October 1, 2026.
He noted that acting on credible human intelligence about criminal activity in the FCT and its surroundings, operatives moved at around midnight and apprehended Obaje along with a second suspect, David Dennis.
DCP Muazu also revealed that Dennis is a member of the same church and serves as a bodyguard to the church’s senior pastor.
