BL0OD OVER PROPERTY! SON ALLEGEDLY H∆CKS RETIRED MARINE CAPTAIN FATHER TO DEATH IN RIVERS

What was meant to be a peaceful family meeting to share property before retirement reportedly ended in a gruesome tragedy in Rivers State, as a man was arrested for allegedly hacking his father, retired Marine Captain David Nwoke, to death during a dispute over a car.

The horrifying incident occurred on Sunday at Oro Ekpo Estate, Ada George, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, throwing residents into panic and mourning.

According to sources familiar with the incident, the retired officer had decided to relocate permanently to his hometown in the South-East. Before leaving, he reportedly invited his children to inform them of his plans and distribute some of his belongings among them.

However, what appeared to be a routine family arrangement allegedly took a deadly turn when one of his sons, said to be from his second wife, insisted on taking one of the vehicles his father planned to keep.

The demand was reportedly rejected, a development that sources claimed sparked the deadly chain of events.

The suspect allegedly hid inside the family home and waited for his father to return from his regular morning exercise. Moments after the retired captain went upstairs to freshen up, the suspect allegedly emerged from hiding and attacked him with a machete.

A house help who reportedly rushed to rescue the victim was also allegedly attacked but managed to escape and raise the alarm.

Despite sustaining severe injuries, the retired officer reportedly struggled downstairs in a desperate attempt to save his life. The suspect allegedly chased after him and continued the attack until he collapsed.
