Bandits Attack ADC Chairman’s Residence, Kidnap Two Women and Kill Another

Armed bandits have reportedly attacked the residence of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) chairman in Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State, abducting two women and shooting another woman dead.

According to preliminary reports, the attack occurred in Dirin Daji town on Thursday night.

Sources also claimed that two groups of suspected bandits had been sighted in the area earlier in the day, raising concerns about the security situation before the attack.

The incident has sparked concerns over the safety of residents, particularly following allegations that the attackers may have relied on information from an informant familiar with the victim’s residence.

However, the circumstances surrounding the attack, the identities of the abducted women and the alleged involvement of an informant have not been independently verified.

Security agencies are urged to investigate the incident, pursue the abductors and strengthen protection for residents of Dirin Daji and surrounding communities.

How long must rural communities continue to live under the threat of bandit attacks, abductions and killings?
