APC Appoints Tinubu-Sacked Ex-Minister as DG of Tinubu/Dikko Campaign

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State has appointed former Minister of Housing, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, as Director-General of the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Dangiwa’s appointment comes months after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu removed him from his position as Minister of Housing in a cabinet reshuffle. He is now expected to play a key role in coordinating the campaign council’s activities in Katsina State.
The campaign council was constituted to coordinate political activities, strengthen party structures and oversee mobilisation across the state in support of President Tinubu’s re-election bid and Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s political agenda.
According to the list released by the Katsina APC State Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Shamsu Sule Funtua, Governor Radda will serve as chairman of the council, while Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal will serve as Co-Chairman I.
Senator Hadi Abubakar Sirika and Dr Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa have been named Co-Chairmen II and III, respectively, while Dr Bashir Gambo Saulawa will serve as Deputy Chairman.
Dangiwa’s appointment as Director-General places him at the head of the campaign council’s operational structure, which includes directorates responsible for administration, finance, media and publicity, research and statistics, planning and strategy, security, legal services, and grassroots mobilisation.
Other appointments include Hon. Abdulkadir Mohammed Nasir as Deputy Director-General, Operations; Alhaji Bala Abu Musawa as Deputy Director-General, Coordination; and Hon. Adnan Nahabu as Deputy Director-General, Administration.
The council also features zonal directors for Katsina South, Katsina North and Katsina Central, alongside officials responsible for women and youth mobilisation, religious affairs, traditional institutions and support groups.
The APC said the campaign council would provide an organisational framework for coordinating its political activities across Katsina State ahead of the 2027 elections.
The council’s inauguration is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the auditorium of the new APC State Secretariat along Dutsin-ma Expressway, Katsina.
Dangiwa’s appointment marks his return to a prominent political role following his exit from the Federal Executive Council, as the ruling party intensifies preparations for the next general elections.
