2027: Doma Grassroots Mobilizer Resigns From APC, Declares Support For Ex-IGP Adamu
A grassroots mobilizer in Nasarawa State, Abdullahi U. Tanko, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Tanko made this known in a letter addressed to the Chairman of the party in his Madauchi Ward, Doma Local Government Area, dated Sunday, 8th November, 2026.
According to the letter, the decision was taken after extensive consultations and meetings with various stakeholders, supporters, family members, siblings and friends.
He said the resignation became necessary due to persistent uncertainties and inconsistencies in the management of political affairs within the party over the years.
According to the letter, after careful deliberation, Tanko and his supporters unanimously resolved to resign their membership from the APC.
He said they have consequently transferred their membership to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), to align with Ex-IGP Adamu Mohammed Abubakar for his gubernatorial candidacy.
Tanko apologised for any inconvenience the decision may cause the party and asked that the letter be accepted as formal notification of his resignation, effective immediately.
