Zlatan fires back as Portable accuses him of money laundering over N500m bank balance

Zlatan Ibile has responded after colleague Portable questioned the legitimacy of his N504 million account balance, which was recently displayed on a crypto app he co-founded.

The controversy erupted on Sunday when Zlatan’s account balance, exceeding N500 million, appeared on the app’s interface, sparking widespread discussion online.

Portable took to Instagram to challenge the figure, claiming it was implausible for a Nigerian musician to possess such wealth through legitimate means.

He suggested the money could be proceeds from money laundering and demanded that Zlatan provide his account statement as proof of ownership.

“It’s impossible that you have N500 million in your account and it isn’t yours; it could be money laundering. It’s impossible for a Nigerian artiste to have that amount,” he said.

“How many people are listening to your music? How many songs have you dropped this year? How many shows have you gone to? Some people are drug sellers; it isn’t possible.

“He isn’t the owner of that money. If he is, he should go and print his account statement. He is a money launderer.”

Zlatan responded via his Instagram page, dismissing Portable’s allegations with a mocking tone.

He referenced a viral video in which Portable was seen undergoing a “spiritual bath” with soft drinks and advised him to stay informed before making public accusations.

“Portable, I heard you had a panic attack last night. You can download the app too and get updates before going for spiritual cleansing. N500 million is just a small part of God’s blessings,” he said.
