Youths Block Kwara–Kogi Highway in Protest After D£adly Band!t Attack on CAC Eruku

Tension has escalated in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, as angry youths have taken to the streets following the recent bandit attack on the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in the community.

In a bold show of frustration and fear, the youths have blocked the major Kwara–Kogi highway, a critical route connecting the two states.

Makeshift barricades were mounted across the busy road early Wednesday as protesters demanded urgent action from the Kwara State Government, security agencies, and the Federal Government.

The demonstrators say the repeated attacks including the d£adly assault on the CAC church yesterday 18th of November 2025 where worshippers were k!!led and others abducted have pushed the community to breaking point.

They are calling for immediate deployment of security forces, better intelligence response, and long-term protection for Eruku and surrounding towns.
