“You Moved Your Family To America Not Built With Prayers” – VDM Reacts As Pastor Arome Osayi Secures US Permanent Residence
Activist VeryDarkMan has reacted to Pastor Arome Osayi and his wife securing permanent residence in the United States, questioning the development in relation to the preacher’s teachings about Nigeria’s calling.
VDM criticised what he described as a contradiction between encouraging Nigerian youths to focus on prayer and relocating his family to a country known for technology and innovation.
Activist VeryDarkMan, popularly known as VDM, has reacted to a video showing Pastor Arome Osayi and his wife announcing that they have secured permanent residence in the United States.Nigerian electricity policy
VDM questioned the development while referencing previous comments by the preacher about Nigeria’s national calling being centred on revival.
He recalled Pastor Arome saying:
“So the next time you see someone showing what the Chinese are doing, that they are making engine, and then showing what the Nigerians are doing, we are praying, you don’t understand that nations have callings. Our calling as a nation is revival.”
VDM also recalled the pastor saying that when people compare China’s technological development with Nigeria’s focus on prayer, “people don’t know that Nigeria had a calling and their calling is revival.”
Reacting to the comments, VDM said:
“Therefore you are conditioning the minds of the youth in Nigeria that they should forget about creativity and innovation and they should rely on prayers, meanwhile you have now carried your family and taken them to America that was not built with prayer and certain calling of revival. That was built with technology and brains and doing, not relying on prayers.”
He questioned why Pastor Arome publicly announced the development, adding that the preacher also said he had prayed about it.
VDM continued:
“You moved your family to a country that is not built with prayers, that the youths were encouraged to think outside the box. Geniuses later came. Facebook, the founder of Facebook is in the United States. Bezos is there. Elon is there. One billionaire there are 20 to 30 from that place. And these people are not prayer warriors. These people are inventors and innovators.”
He concluded by criticising what he described as the message being passed to Nigerian youths:Nigerian electricity policy
“But they are telling the youth of Nigeria that they should not look at China, that China is building machines. They should forget China and they should rely on prayers.”
