YOU CAN’T BE WISER THAN GOD – Pastor Isaac Olutimehin

☆☆☆ The ways and the plans of man are always right in his own eyes. Many times, man will leave God out of his plans.
☆☆☆ The reason being that the way of God doesn’t seem right to man. The way of God most times, doesn’t agree with the common sense of man.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord” – Isaiah 55:11.

☆☆☆ For example, in 2 Kings 4:1-7, a certain widow, who was in debt, ran to the prophet of God, Elisha.
☆☆☆ This widow was in debt because her late husband left her in debts. The man had probably taken some ‘loans’ which he couldn’t pay before he died.
☆☆☆ The widow now said to Elisha, “and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bond men”.

☆☆☆ This woman ran to the man of God, Elisha, for assistance. Just the same way many people today will run to the pastors for help.
☆☆☆ The woman might have thought within herself that Elisha would help her to pay up her debt. Surprisingly, see the solution of God through the servant of God; to end the problem of the widow👇

“Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few” – 2 kings 4:3.

☆☆☆ Somebody who was already owing and seriously in debt, a man of God, now led by God, asked her to “borrow more, not a few.”
☆☆☆ This might not make sense to any human knowledge but with God it does.
☆☆☆ The children of Israel got to the Red Sea and there was no way forward. They looked back, lo and behold; the chariots of Pharaoh were so close, right behind them. The only ‘reasonable’ thing, for them to do; would have been to return to Pharaoh and appealed to him for mercy.
☆☆☆ Here again is the solution of God to their predicament👇

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward” – Exo 14:15.

☆☆☆ They obeyed and God made a way for them through the Red Sea. Read Exodus 14:21-22.
☆☆☆ The same children of Israel were to enter the promised land but the walls of Jericho, standing as challenges; were blocking their way.
☆☆☆ God again gave his own solution by asking them to move round the walls seven times. He commanded them not to say a word until the seventh time. On the seventh time, they should now shout.
☆☆☆ If God had not warned them to be quiet, they would have murmured as usual, probably complaining thus: ‘See this God, asking us to move round this walls of Jericho seven times, is that a solution!!’
☆☆☆ However, they followed the instructions of God and the walls of Jericho fell. Read Joshua 6:1-20.

☆☆☆ Jehoshaphat was to lead the children of Israel in battle against three powerful nations. The instruction of God was simple: no weapons of war must be used. Drop your weapons and face your enemies while singing praises unto the Lord of hosts.
☆☆☆ Thank God they obeyed and victory was theirs. Read 2 Chronicles 20:21-24.

☆☆☆ Beloved, the bible says “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men” – 1 Corinthians 1:25.
☆☆☆ Don’t be wise in your own eyes. “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass” – Psalm 37:5.
☆☆☆ The man who commits his ways into the hand of God shall see the hand of God manifesting in everything he does.
☆☆☆ Beloved, before going into that relationship, have you asked God?
☆☆☆ Before embarking on that trip, did you ask God for direction?
☆☆☆ Does that business plan has the approval of God?
☆☆☆ I heard the testimony of a man. God asked him to resign from the company he worked for as an accountant to start his own business. God told him to start selling groundnut. Did this make sense? He obeyed God and started. God later asked him to add a little honey to his groundnut and he did. When Bill Clinton was being sworn in as the president of America, this man’s groundnut was served on the table.

“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death”.
