Yobe-Born Father Name Newborn Son “Bola Ahmed Tinubu”

A Nigerian father, Mallam Jibrin Mahmud, has named his newborn baby boy after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Mahmud, who hails from the Bolawa ethnic group in Yobe State but resides in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, named his son Bola Ahmad Tinubu Jibrin.
The development was disclosed by Mrs. Habiba Umar Iliyasu, an aide to Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, in a Facebook post on Friday.
Attached to the post was a birth certificate issued by the Lafia Local Government Area, bearing the newborn’s name.
According to the certificate, the baby was born on October 21, 2026, to the family of Mallam Jibrin Mahmud and his wife, Mrs. Fatima Mohammed.
The family resides in the Sabon Garin Kurikyo area of Lafia.
The naming has drawn attention, as the newborn now bears the name of Nigeria’s sitting President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
