Woman Slumps and Dies During Church Service
A Benue woman identified as Joy Aondohemba Alia has reportedly slumped and d!ed during a church service.
It was gathered that the tragic incident occurred on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
A Facebook user, Agbaso Solomon Igba, who confirmed the incident, claimed that the deceased was the wife of Mr. Isaac Aondohemba Alia, the younger brother of Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia.
Another Facebook user, Akpen Denen, said he rushed Joy to the hospital after she suddenly collapsed during the service, but doctors confirmed she was d3ad on arrival.
Sharing his account of the incident, he wrote:
“I am astonished and still grappling with the events that transpired during today’s church service. You suddenly fell, and initially, I thought it might have been due to the anointing.”
“Upon rushing you to the teaching hospital for medical attention, the doctor informed me of the devastating news that you didn’t survive. Who am I to question the divine will? Our dear wife, Joy Aondohemba Alia, may your soul rest in peace.”
The incident has left family members, friends and members of the church in shock, with many taking to social media to mourn her passing and offer condolences to her loved ones.
