“My sister gave birth just seconds after being chased by a monkey.
On that day, she said she already knew her baby was coming and, being her second pregnancy, she felt experienced. While she was in labour, she was still doing house chores—cleaning, washing clothes, and even cooking.
After everything, she still did her makeup, wore a flowing gown, and calmly told the neighbours she was going to the hospital like it was a normal outing.
When she got there, she told the doctor she was ready, but he looked at her makeup and said she wasn’t. She was then asked to do some walking exercises around the hospital since it was a private facility.
While walking outside, she suddenly saw a monkey from a nearby compound charging towards her. The nurse she was with immediately ran, and my sister also took off running back towards the hospital.
By the time she reached the door and stopped, she suddenly felt the baby coming. They rushed her inside, and she delivered immediately. To this day, we still don’t know why the monkey ran at her, but it definitely sped things up”
