WIKE REVEALS WHY UZODIMMA IS “WAGING WAR” AGAINST HIM

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has alleged that Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, is leading opposition against him because of a perceived political battle over the 2027 National Assembly.

Speaking on TVC’s Journalists’ Hangout, Wike alleged that Uzodimma is working to influence the emergence of APC senators and members of the House of Representatives as part of an ambition to become Senate President.

Wike claimed that Uzodimma is concerned that politicians who lost APC tickets and moved to the PDP could win their elections with his support and subsequently refuse to back Uzodimma’s alleged Senate presidency ambition.

On his own position, Wike was unequivocal:

“Life or death, I will never support a character of Hope Uzodimma to become the Senate President.”

Wike also recalled that Uzodimma finished fourth in the 2019 Imo governorship election before the Supreme Court later declared him the duly elected governor.

The latest comments further deepen the political confrontation between Wike and APC governors ahead of the 2027 elections.
