Why Tinubu is to be blamed for increased terrór attacks in the north – Ali Ndume makes stunning revelation

Senator Ali Ndume has blamed president Tinubu’s government for the rising terror attacks in the northern Nigeria particularly in his home state, Borno state.

Ali Ndume who represents Borno South senatorial District while speaking on Channels Tv today, April 13th, faulted the Tinubu’s administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity in the north. He accuses the Tinubu’s government of lack of “seriousness” in the fight against terrorîsm, claiming that the Nigeria military is capable of routing terrórism in the north within six if given the necessary military equipment, training and motivation.

It is not about asking somebody like me as senator to say why these things. I always believe that if the president and the government, the federal government of Nigeria is serious about this, we can end this thing in six months. All we need is to train our soldiers. We equip our soldiers, arm them very well, and then motivate them”.

The senator shared his encounter with some soldiers at the frontline in Pulka town in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno state, alleging that the town has been “overrun” by terrórists because the soldiers do not have the needed military equipment in their base to repel terrórists.

Even today when I went there, I saw our soldiers in Pulka. Pulka has being overrun. As it is now, Pulka, they have a front, FOB, the college, forward operation base, but with no equipment, enough equipment”.

The senator emphasized that the government must renew its determination by providing the needed military wares to the military as well as training necessary for the insurgency ravaging the north to be tamed.

He expressed regret over the manner the Nigerian soldiers are being kîlled by terrôrists, warning that it is the responsibility of the Nigeria’s government to protect the soldiers who are fighting at the frontline, and not to endanger their lives by under-arming them.

We were supposed to protect these guys and want to make sure that they will come back for us. After killing their commanders, they now come back to kill our commanders. And they’re still in taking about five, six or even seven. Even today, around northern Berlin, we lost a colonel, I understand, with some soldiers. This should not continue. This is now the problem”, he stated
