“WHY I VOW NEVER TO BE PART OF THE APC” – SEN. SERIAKE DICKSON
The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Seriake Dickson, has explained why he vowed never to be part of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to him, in 2015, some political forces allegedly ganged up against former President Goodluck Jonathan and removed him from Aso Rock. He said they boasted that they would also remove him as Governor of Bayelsa State, but he defeated them decisively.
Dickson further recalled that in 2019, despite attempts to incite the people against his administration amid the economic recession, his government faced severe financial challenges, including struggling to raise one billion naira after paying half salaries, yet they still emerged victorious.
He also spoke about the 2020 governorship election, in which he supported the emergence of the current Governor of Bayelsa State.
He stated:
“In 2020, when I brought this Governor, your current Governor, remember the saying: ‘Pikin fit deny father, but father no dey deny pikin.’”
Senator Dickson further alleged that election results were written in Port Harcourt, with soldiers escorting those involved, adding that fake results were announced before they allegedly fled.
He maintained that he challenged the outcome all the way to the Supreme Court, where victory was eventually secured just hours before another candidate was expected to be sworn in.
