“Why I Turned Down ₦7.5 Million” — Afeez Oyetoro Reveals Why He Rejected Betting Deal In 1999

Nollywood actor Afeez Oyetoro, popularly known as Saka, has revealed why he rejected a lucrative ₦7.5 million offer from a betting company in 1999.

The actor explained that although the money was attractive, he turned down the deal because it involved betting. At the time, he was deeply religious and worked as a teacher who warned his students against betting, smoking and drinking alcohol.

However, another opportunity later came through the same agent, offering him ₦5 million for a six-month contract that involved travelling around the country, with feeding and accommodation covered by the company.

According to Oyetoro, he completed the contract and received the payment.
