A driver in Lagos lives under a bridge and shared his challenging living conditions.
He works for a wealthy resident in Lagos.
His employer is aware of his situation and that he sleeps under the bridge.

A Lagos-based driver who reportedly lives under a bridge has opened up about his difficult living conditions and his experience with political leaders.

The man, who said he works as a driver for a wealthy Lagos resident, revealed that his employer is aware that he sleeps under the bridge.

 

 

 

 

According to him, despite his struggles, he intends to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the polls.

“I’m a driver and I sleep under this bridge. I drive a big man in Lagos and he knows I live under this bridge. Politicians only need us during elections like this; after the election, they abandon us. We’re suffering, but I’ll vote for Tinubu,” he said.

His comments have sparked reactions online, particularly over the contrast between his difficult living situation and his decision to support the president.

The driver also lamented the way politicians allegedly relate with people living in difficult conditions, claiming that they pay attention to them mainly during election periods.

His account has since drawn attention to the challenges faced by some low-income Nigerians living in Lagos, as well as the different factors that influence voters’ choices during elections.
