Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara made this statement today, Wednesday, July 22, 2026, during the groundbreaking and foundation-laying ceremony of the Rivien Medical Industry project in Rumuosi, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
The governor officially aligned with the Rainbow Coalition, a political movement comprising members of various parties in Rivers State led by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, emphasizing that the protracted political conflict in the state is over, stating, “The time of war is over. It’s time of peace. And this peace is taking us to another level”.
He explicitly charged his loyalists to follow his lead, making it clear that anyone who believes in his leadership must support President Tinubu, Kingsley Chinda, and all other candidates running under the Rainbow Coalition platform.
