US Court Rejects Discovery Request Against Tinubu, DCI Group In FOIA Lawsuit
A United States federal court has rejected a request by Aaron Greenspan seeking permission to obtain evidence from President Bola Tinubu and DCI Group in an ongoing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit involving US federal agencies.

He added that the rejection of the discovery request against Tinubu and DCI Group reinforced the importance of maintaining the proper scope of the litigation.
Another attorney, Oluwole Afolabi, said the court’s decisions established important procedural boundaries, although the substantive FOIA dispute remained unresolved.
“The Court also denied the plaintiff’s motion for summary judgment and rejected a separate request to introduce an amicus brief,” Afolabi said.
He noted that the underlying issues involving access to information under the FOIA were still before the court.
The ruling represents a procedural setback for Greenspan, who had sought to expand the scope of the litigation to include allegations concerning cyberattacks on his website.
However, the court’s decision does not amount to a final determination of the underlying FOIA dispute involving the FBI and DEA.
