Ubi Franklin Shares Controversial Wealth Strategy on “Mama Put” Investments
Nigerian entrepreneur Ubi Franklin has sparked debate on social media after sharing a business idea on how to quickly build wealth through small-scale food vendors, popularly known as “mama put.”
In his statement, Franklin suggested funding multiple vendors with startup capital and taking a share of their profits as a pathway to becoming a billionaire.
In his words, he said:
“The fastest way to become a billionaire on the Mainland is to invest in 100 mama put food vendors. Give each ₦50,000 to cook. If each makes ₦200,000 in profit, pay them ₦50,000 as their earnings. In a year, you’ll make ₦1.8 billion.”
