Two Ikogosi Marathon race buses involved in an accident in Ado Ekiti.

Two Buses reportedly designated for the 2025 Ikogosi 17.5km marathon were involved in an accident early today prior to departing from the athletes pickup location.

The incident which took place in front of the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion along the New Iyin Road area of Ado Ekiti resulted in significant damage to the windshields and front sections of both vehicles.

At the time of this report, the precise cause of the accident remains unclear. Although both vehicles sustained severe damage, no fatalities have been reported in connection with the event.

The marathon was however concluded successfully, with participants arriving at the finish line in a beautiful and memorable atmosphere .
