Significant changes have occurred in Ekiti State, with two appointed officials resigning from Governor Oyebanji’s administration within a single week.

The resignations, formally submitted to His Excellency Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, indicate a period of transition as the individuals seek to advance their personal and professional interests beyond government roles.

Shina Olawale Ogunleye was the first to resign, officially leaving his position as a Member of the Ekiti State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency on October 1, 2025.

Ogunleye attributed his departure to a need to dedicate time to further education, private business activities, and family responsibilities. In his communication, he conveyed deep appreciation for the opportunities provided during his tenure.

Earlier, on September 25, 2025, Sunday Oguntuase stepped down from his role as Senior Special Assistant on Employment to the Ekiti State Governor’s Office.

Oguntuase stated that his decision was driven by a focus on personal business and family obligations.

He also noted that although his public service experience was highly valuable, he is now pursuing new professional challenges that correspond with his career goals.

Both departures were conducted amicably, with each expressing gratitude for their service period.
