Troops Uncover Illegal Gun Factories In Plateau, Arrest Five Suspected Militias

Troops of the Nigerian Army have uncovered illegal gun manufacturing factories in Plateau State and arrested five suspected militia members allegedly involved in the production of weapons.

According to security sources, the operation was carried out following credible intelligence reports which led troops to several hidden weapon-making locations in the state.

During the raid, soldiers reportedly recovered locally fabricated rifles, bullets, gun parts, and various machines used for the illegal production of firearms.

The suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue to uncover the network behind the illegal arms production.

Security authorities described the operation as a major breakthrough in ongoing efforts to tackle insecurity and curb the proliferation of illegal weapons in Plateau State and other parts of the country.

Residents have commended the troops for the successful operation, expressing hope that the crackdown will help restore peace and reduce violent attacks linked to armed groups in the region.

More photos from the operation have continued to surface online, showing the recovered weapons, equipment, and the suspects arrested during the raid.
