Troops foil d€adly ISWAP Att∆ck in Yobe, terrorists suffer heavy l0sses

ISWAP terr0rists reportedly suffered heavy casualties after troops of Operation HADIN KAI successfully repelled a coordinated attack on the Headquarters 27 Brigade, Buni Gari, and a nearby checkpoint in Yobe State.

According to military sources, the attack was launched around 2:00 a.m. on May 8 from multiple directions, but troops responded with superior firepower, forcing the insurgents to retreat in disarray.

Several terr0rists were reportedly neutralised during the encounter, while others escaped with g*nshot wounds. Follow-up operations also led to the recovery of bodies and weapons along the terrorists’ withdrawal routes.

The development has been hailed as a significant success in ongoing counter-insurgency operations in the North East.
